The ECB Simulation Conference was developed by university students for university students. Its main objective is to continuously improve its conference experience, as well as improve its results and processes. The Conference goals include:

1. The promotion of economic education and specifically the understanding of the Euro Area economic challenges. The study guides, the preparation workshops, the experts’ talks during the Training Day, and the interactive processes of the roundtable discussions contribute to creating a unique conference experience.
2. To include a diverse set of university students regardless of their scientific backgrounds. The preparation period and the support offered by the Scientific Team of Get Involved are vital to achieving this objective. The study materials (study guide, economic definitions index, etc) and the preparation calls guarantee that all participants -regardless of their background- are supported.
3. To spread the objective examination of the contemporary economic issues that are examined in the conference. Moreover, the support and participation of some of the most important institutional representatives of the financial system, such as the Bank of Greece and the Hellenic Banking Association are aimed. The Conference has been supported by the Bank of Greece, since 2019, with whose invaluable help the examined topics of each Conference are presented and finalized. The Bank of Greece Governor makes the opening remarks at each Conference since 2019 (in 2022 he was represented by his Deputy Governor Mrs. Papaconstantinou).
4. The possibility of vertical and horizontal Networking for the participants. University students of various academic levels and backgrounds, as well as of diverse geographic areas participate in the Conference. These university students and graduates have similar interests and are some of the most active youth in Greece (horizontal networking). Furthermore, in the Conference procedures, distinguished professionals and academics (vertical networking), with whom the participants have the chance to communicate, participate as speakers during the Training Day and/or the workshops.

Each process followed in the Conference by the Get Involved team is in accordance with the above objectives and guarantees the optimization of the cognitive footprint through an experiential and participatory learning process.
